Had a wonderful birthday celebration at Imperial Koi recently! Our group sat on the outside terrace at sunset and it was gorgeous. We also happened to be there on 1/2 price wine night (a bonus)! The sushi rolls were delicious however it took a while for the food to be served after ordering. Otherwise it was a fun & vibrant atmosphere with great wine and yummy food! I like that you can be seated at the bar, in the restaurant, or outside. It was a busy night when we were there & I plan to go back!
This restaurant is located on the upper level of the building and you have to drive around the back to access their entrance. The parking lot was a bit busy, but we luckily found a space. Upon entering, the hostess greeted us promptly and took us to our table. I enjoyed sitting by the window. The views were nice. I thought the menu was priced about right for the atmosphere that was presented with the white table cloths, heavy menus food presentation and well dressed waiters, but the prices didn't jive with the taste. Our waitress was so friendly. She was very helpful in assisting us with making our selections. The food was plated well. It was very impressive. The vegetable spring rolls were light and the dipping sauce was flavorful. I also ordered the vegetable lettuce wraps. It was savory, but had no flavor at all. I had to add soy sauce to give it something. It looked beautiful, but that's all. The lettuce was a little brown on the edging and the pieces of lettuce are way too small for the amount of filling they provide. We barely finished our appetizers when our main dishes arrived. This was totally my fault, because I ordered everything at the same time. I enjoyed my main dish. It had an appealing taste. The rice was fluffy, but once again I had to add more soy sauce. I told my friend that her poke bowl was too pretty to eat. She enjoyed it. I will return and try their sushi next time.
The specialty rolls are definitely the way to go here. A lot of them are saucy, so if you don't like that then stick to the basic rolls. We had a couple that were set on fire which was a neat little touch. But the proof in the pudding is flavor and texture. Everything was fantastic. I wish I could affordto eat there more often!
This restaurant is one of the best sushi places in Greensboro. We made reservations for dinner and staff was very courteous and helpful. i love the view at sunset while enjoying a nice meal w family and friends. i tried a different item from the sushi list but as expected it was exquisite. The ingredients are so fresh and the presentation of the dishes are amazing.
Dine in | Dinner | $20-30 An absolute hidden gem- how come l've never heard of this restaurant? The inside was beautiful; white cloth tables, cultural interior designs, etc. This spot is perfect for a date night. We enjoyed the lovely service and food. Would love to visit again. You are provided warm hands towels after eating and I thought that was a very thoughtful touch to the service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sushi Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free parking lot Parking: We could not find parking on a Thursday night, so l could just imagine the weekend. This restaurant is located near other busy spots.
This modern and chic Japanese spot is great for a business dinner if you want to impress your client or for any occasion that you'd like to upscale a bit. This is a spot that my family often takes people who are visiting from out of town. The interior is sleek and well-maintained, and there is an air of class when you walk in. The staff there is always professional and prompt. I have never found them to be lacking. The food is fresh and delicious. While it is priced rather high, I have never been disappointed in any menu item, and I'm partial to their sushi. It is hidden above melt on new garden, and it's not a place you'd stumble on, so be on the lookout and visit them soon.
Imperial Koi has always been one of my favorite sushi spots in Greensboro! The ambiance, service, and food is really top tier for the area. You can rely on having a great meal and experience when you come for lunch or dinner. I've never had to wait and I'm always able to try something new. Love love love Imperial Koi! Definitely give it a try!
Still loving this place. Fish always fresh and worth the wait. Our server was great. We tried the February special "cloud 9" roll and really enjoyed it.
Imperial Koi is a beautiful Greensboro gem. We came here on a scorching 90 degree day at the start of September and this sushi joint's cool presence alone was a much needed refreshment. I had a sushi roll called the "Outlaw Roll" which was appropriately named because that thing was too tasty to be legal! It was some of the best sushi that I've had in Greensboro. A drawback was that the prices are a little higher than other Greensboro sushi places, but I feel that the slightly higher price is fitting based on the superior quality and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The only other drawback was that I ate my food too fast.
